Students of Al-Risala Academy are expected to uphold the morals and values of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the teachings of Islam. In order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment to learn, students are expected to abide by school mandated rules and regulations.
Dress Code Students must wear school appointed uniforms.
Elementary Girls (Gr. 5- High School) – abaya with dark-colored loose fitting pants girls – hijab throughout the day
Boys- long pants and shirt; haircuts of even lengths.
Fragrance-Free School Long nails, nails polish, eyeliner, cosmetics, and any make-up are prohibited.
Technology Cell phones, I-Pods, I-Pads, cameras, tablets, and any other electronic equipment must not be used during school hours or on school premises without direct permission from administrative staff. If devices are used without permission, they will be confiscated and returned only to a parent. A repeated offense will result in suspension.
School appointed Chromebooks or other approved laptops are to be used with care. Students have to use technology responsibly by navigating assigned sites and handling equipment safely.
School premise bullying (verbal, physical, cyber, psychological, etc) is not acceptable and there will be consequences. All personal disputes/ arguments must be brought to the attention of a staff member for resolution.
No chewing gum in the school building.
No eating in the classroom or hallways. Limited drinking in the classrooms or hallways. Only water bottles may be allowed within the classroom.
Students are expected to clean up after themselves. (eg. Wipe spilled water. Throw garbage in the proper bins.)
Students will be expelled from school without prior warning if he/she is found in possession of any weapons (knives, guns, etc), alcohol, or any type of illegal drugs (marijuana, cocaine).
Students are not allowed to leave premises without a parent or guardian unless there are special instructions from administrative staff. There will be zero tolerance for any damages to school property or other people’s belongings.
Salah and Du’a: Students are expected to participate and recite du’a during morning assembly. Students are expected to observe salah during the school day. They are expected to report to the salah area on time, refrain from unnecessary talking, and listen attentively to speech or khutbah.
